Chronological Bible Core Course Begins!

Our Chronological Bible Core Course in now in full swing!  We have finished the first two weeks of our Seminar and are now busy studying the Pentateuch (the first five book of the Old Testament, also called the Law or the Torah).  (Below is our class sylabuis.)

We have five amazing students representing four different countries.  And we are six staff representing three different countries giving us five countries represented in our class.  They really are a remarkable group with how quickly they have bonded and their obvious love for each other.   It certainly makes them a joy to work with!  How blessed we are.

The heart of this Course is to take our longer Chronological School Of Biblical Studies (CSBS) which runs for nine months and condensing it down to 14 weeks making it more manageable and reproducible.  This is the Course we hope to multiply in nations.

In the course of these 14 weeks our students will have read the whole Bible and studied 12 books in depth.  The aim is to give students a chance to engage the Bible in a way to enable it to shape their biblical worldview* as well as give them tools to continue to study the word of God throughout the course of their lives.  We are also excited about the two weeks of outreach woven within the framework of the course giving students a chance to give out what they are learning.

Since getting married, this is the first school Cliff and I have staffed together and are enjoying the blessing of working as a ministry team as well as learning to work together.  Any couple who has worked together knows it is a learning experience!  As we progress further into the school and learn more, we are growing excited about the things God is speaking to us and His future plans to see transformation among the nations!

Praise God for bringing such a wonderful group of students to teach and staff to work with us!  Praise God for the freedom to teach God’s word and shape worldviews!  Praise God to have the blessing of working with a God given spouse!  Praise God for our ministry partners who support us in our vision!  We are mightily blessed by an Astronomically Faithful God!

*worldview |ˈwərldˌvyo͞o|(also world view )nouna
particular philosophy of life or conception of the world: I have broadened my worldview by experiencing a whole new culture.

What is a Christian Worldview?

Everyone has a worldview. Whether or not we realize it, we all have certain presuppositions and biases that affect the way we view all of life and reality. A worldview is like a set of lenses which taint our vision or alter the way we perceive the world around us. Our worldview is formed by our education, our upbringing, the culture we live in, the books we read, the media and movies we absorb, etc. For many people their worldview is simply something they have absorbed by osmosis from their surrounding cultural influences. They have never thought strategically about what they believe and wouldn’t be able to give a rational defense of their beliefs to others.
